The 30th Annual Critics Choice Awards organized its ceremonies for February 7th 2025 at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica to celebrate the leading achievements in both film and television of the previous year. For the third year in a row Chelsea Handler brought viewers memorable surprises as well as celebration and entertaining moments during the award show.

- Director Sean Baker received the highest recognition of the night when his film “Anora” won Best Picture status. The Best Picture win by “Anora” made historical distinction through its successful victory even though it received no other category awards.

- The FX television show “Shōgun” triumphed as viewers chose it for the Best Drama Series category. The television series won awards not only for Best Drama Series but also honored Hiroyuki Sanada as Best Actor in a Drama Series and Moeka Hoshi as Best Supporting Actress in a Series.

- “Hacks” received the Best Comedy Series award in the comedy category with Jean Smart taking home acting accolades for her work.
